Creation Space

Simple, well organized and easy to maintain spaces allow artists of all disciplines to work in amongst the farm and its surroundings with as much energy as possible. Our goal is to provide this type of space from the get-go, starting small and growing as the project grows.

For now, artists requiring an empty space for movement, collaboration, building and/or rehearsing will use the five hundred square foot studio space on the north east portion of the property.  One half of a four car garage, by the summer of 2010 the studio will be equipped with a sprung floor, natural light, electricity, running water and a bathroom. It will come with chairs, folding tables and other basic collaboration needs.

Artists looking to do major building projects will use the toolshed/workshop - a converted horse-stable equipped with electricity, basic wood-cutting and building tools, a large assortment of discarded materials and a working table. The toolshed/workshop is unheated but sheltered from the rain and wind using clear polycarbonate creating a quasi-greenhouse effect.  There are large sliding doors at either end to allow for ventilation in summer months. The toolshed/workshop is slated for completion late Spring 2009.

In Summer months (and kind Spring and Fall months), artists are welcome to use the various outdoor spaces scattered through-out the farm.  These include, but aren't limited to, the Laurel Spiral, the Rainforest Gallery and the campground.
