Location and Directions
From Vancouver, find your way to the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal via Highway 1 east. Catch the next available ferry to Langdale. Driving off the ferry, get into the right hand lane and turn right at the traffic lights heading north towards Port Mellon. (Most cars are either going straight up the hill or turning left into lower Gibsons). Follow the Port Mellon Highway for approximately 2 kilometers. You will go up a hill, pass some houses, the highway will veer to the left, you'll pass a few more houses, then you'll drive along forested road for a while, then the highway will veer to the right. Just after this - look for a house on your left and the gravel road (Wray Road) just beyond it. Turn left onto Wray, drive to the T-junction, turn right onto Storvold Road and drive up to the top of the hill. Our driveway - 1747 Storvold Road - is the last one before the gravel road ends and the paved road begins.
The easiest way to get to us from downtown Vancouver - without a car - is to catch the #257 Horseshoe Bay Express from Georgia and Burrard. The #257 will also transport bikes if you are biking. This will drop you off right outside the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal. Catch the next ferry to Langdale. Follow the above car directions to walk or bike up to the art farm (about a half hour leisurely uphill stroll - 10-15 minute bike-ride).
