Change

Change puts the move in the art farm movement. It’s what we exist for: powerful transformation of our lives and communities. For us, change is the pulse of a healthy society – it keeps the blood flowing at the right time to the right place. We recognize this isn’t as easy as it sounds. Bringing artists together with nature-based innovators is a big first step, but the next one – adding people devoted to change to the mix – is just as important. But who are these people devoted to change?
People devoted to change are all over. They're teachers, doctors, facilitators, healers, activists, instructors, therapists, philanthropists, planners. They're people who are skilled with both the mechanics and the art of transformation. They're devoted to facilitating change in people’s lives and their communities – and, through their work, they’ve acquired a complex set of skills to meet and overcome the resistance change evokes in us all.
On any given project, people devoted to change bring a set of skills, ideas and passion to the table that no one else can. Projects include change-driven workshops, events and forums where their work leads the way. But they also include arts-based festivals, for example, or nature-based workshops. The art farm is interested in bringing people together from across conventional divides. In other words, we want you to play a role in our arts-based festivals and nature-based workshops. And we want artists and nature-based innovators to play a role in our change-driven workshops, events and forums.
But it’s not just about art farm projects. The art farm is about bringing people together to create change – wherever they can. The art farm is a movement of people – people meeting and people doing. So if you haven’t joined up yet, join now and add your profile to our list of artfarmers so that people in your community and around the world can see who you are and what you’ve been up to. Here’s your chance to promote your work to an audience of people who are looking for it!
